THEATRE GAME: STORYTELLING TRANSLATION


Description

Translating a scenario by acting it out.

Players

Minimum number of players: At least 2

Maximum number of players: No more than 5

Materials

Space Required

classroom

Instructions

2 players choose a scenario from a hat.

 

1 player is the interpreter, 1 player is the actor.

 

The actor acts out the scenario (He may speak if he/she likes, but can't make any sense) , while the other player transulates the story.

 

The team continues until the entire story as been told.  No more than 2 min.

 

Possible Scenarios:

1.  A Russian ballet dancer comes to America to raise money for her/his struggling program back in Russia

2.  A Mexican scoccer player is being interviewed after his team has won the World Cup

3.  A Parent who has lost their child on the subway.
