Empty boxes that are wrapped.

1) Have students bring in a wrapped box that looks like a a present; the box however is empty.
2) In pairs, have the students come in front of the class and take turns giving a present to another class member.
3) The receiver tries to guess what is in the box by shaking it and then opens it and immediately names the gift and says thank you. [For example, "This is just what I wanted. I visited China this summer and wanted my own pair of chopsticks."]
4) The gift needs to be a complete surprise to the receiver and the giver needs to respond, "I knew you wanted this because..."
5) Have every student give their gift and receive a gift.
