Description
Allow students to share information with each other and see if they can identify wants and goals in the story.
Materials
Full Lesson Plan
1) Divide into groups of 2-3.
2) The group will first tell each other briefly something interesting that happened to them that summer.
3) They will then choose one story and improvise a short scene to perform for the class.
4) Ask students to identify what each character wants in the scene and how he or she tries to achieve that goal.
~ This will necessitate your helping them compromise within a scene, letting one storyline be more prominent etc.
