Full Lesson Plan
1) Ensemble stands in SATB/ 3 or 2-Part sections facing Music Director
2) Director improvises a two-three bar melodic/rhythmic passage that Part 1 echos and repeats
3) Director improvises a contrasting melodic/rhythmic passage for Part II to echo and repeat against Part I
4) Director improvises another contrasting melodic/rhythmic passage for Part III to layer with Parts I and II
5) Director then introduces new passages for each part as inspired
6) Director cadences exercise
7) A new 'leader' can volunteer to improvise for the sections.
