Bio

Originally from Cresskill, NJ, I currently live in Connecticut and teach English and African American Literature at Central Magnet High School, an exclusive school for high-achieving students.  In addition to my teacher duties, I will also be the Drama Club advisor starting in the 2010-2011 school year.

I'll be going full circle and make my directorial debut with Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first show I acted in when I was 8 years old.  I've been seeing Broadway shows regularly since I was a kid and theatre serves as my escape from reality.  I love helping the younger generations make this world a better place and I am extremely thankful for getting to do what I do everyday.

I look forward to getting my PhD in either Literature or Sociology in the future.  As well as start a family!

Interests

I love studying cinema, playing tennis, reading great books, attempting to cook, going to museums, and traveling to new and interesting places. I also love to spend time with my friends, both here in CT and home in NJ.

Something you should know about me!

Though I may look like a student at times, I'm actually 24. I am a published writer, (very) amateur chef, and still play video games. True fact.

Accomplishments

While working towards my B.A. in English, I had a writing concentration. With those classes I had various works published, but won 2 college journalism writing awards for, oddly enough, a story about STDs in the freshman dorms. I later became an Arts & Entertainment columnist and assistant editor.
