Bio
I teach playwriting, improv, acting and directing to groups of homeschooled kids in NYC. You can read more about me at HomeschoolNYC.com, and also see photos of my students at work.
Educational Background
I studied the teaching of playwriting intensively with Daniel Judah Sklar and also at Young Playwrights. I have thirty years of experience teaching poetry and language arts to children of all ages in NYC. I also teach art history.

Interests
I enjoy travel, reading a wide variety of literature including the New Yorker Magazine, writing about education and my experiences, working with alternative educators, and taking photographs of landscapes, textures, and people. Accomplishments
I recently published a book, Education Uncensored. You can read a couple of excerpts at my website HomeschoolNYC.com. I also publish a free monthly newsletter for home educators on the theme of child-led learning.
Upcoming Projects
I will be studying improv at the Paul Sills Center in mid-July. I will be teaching playwriting to middle schoolers and teens in the fall, with planned performances of original works in the spring.
