Interests

I enjoy travel, reading a wide variety of literature including the New Yorker Magazine, writing about education and my experiences, working with alternative educators, and taking photographs of landscapes, textures, and people. I also enjoy all kinds of music, especially jazz. My website, HomeschoolNYC.com, is a resource for parents, teachers, and children.

Something you should know about me!

I believe strongly in the value of teaching improv.

Accomplishments

I recently published a book, Education Uncensored. You can read a couple of excerpts at my website HomeschoolNYC.com. I also publish a free monthly newsletter for home educators on the theme of child-led learning.

Upcoming Projects

I will be studying improv at the Paul Sills Center in mid-July. I will be teaching playwriting to middle schoolers and teens in the fall, with planned performances of original works in the spring.
