PROFILE: HAROLD SKINNER

I run the Drama Focus program at Andrew Jackson Middle School in Lancaster County, town of Kershaw, SC.  This is a very rural community, and so our Arts Focus program is pretty unique for the area (for example I am the only middle school drama teacher in the county, and only one of two full-time drama teachers in the county - the other runs Drama Focus at Andrew Jackson High School).  Rising sixth grade students audition for the program, and I work with the Focus students all year for three years (grades 6-8).  I also teach regular semester-long Drama Intro classes for non-Focus students.  I direct two productions a year - a non-musical in the fall and a musical in the spring.
